Q: CY, thank you for joining us today. Can you tell us a bit about your health journey before discovering Our Haven?

CY: Thanks for having me. For quite some time, I struggled with my high blood pressure which started when I went to NYSC camp, Kubwa, Abuja.

My [systolic] blood pressure was about 190mmHg even the health attendants dey fear for my sake lol.

I got a permit to leave camp because of my health and that became a wake up call for me to start taking my health seriously, starting from my weight.

Q: What led you to Our Haven?

CY: I knew I wanted to start taking my health seriously. I did some research and was told to regulate my meals but I didn’t really have structure on how to go about dieting for weight loss especially in this Abuja.

I’m not a cooking type of person and I kept eating meals without a definite plan. That was when I decided to reach out to my friend, OG (Our Haven founder), and we were able to curate a meal plan for my situation.

Q: Can you describe your experience with Our Haven’s meal plans?

CY: Ever since having a meal plan for my needs, the journey has been great. I went from having [a systolic blood pressure of] 180mmHg to 130mmHg in two months, and from weighing 89kg to 80kg in one month.
